Sound Therapy

Here are themes and songs that inspired the thinking of The Pharmacy(tm). As you might notice, many of these songs are 80s and 90’s hits. Whenever I need a sound trip or new ideas, I just immerse myself in these tunes. (By the way, these are all youtube embedded videos so occasionally they might be down if youtube is down).

Generally, all music that I like tend to be emotional, both due to the lyrics of the song and its instrumentation that greatly appeal to my sensibilities. To appreciate this, I suggest you also select the tunes below depending on your current disposition.

Finally, can I just say that these are all beautiful songs.

Ambient, Lounge, and Instrumentals
Mostly instrumentals, these tunes help me think and focus on a particular idea or concept, or develop an existing one. For those “thinker” or “pensive” days.

Sunday Morning Music
I segregated these particular songs, even if they might fall into any one of the categories above because their distinctive sound (usually 80s synthesizer with hopefully ideal lyrics) remind me so much of the smooth music I listened to during my childhood. All these songs have that crystal 80s quality.
Love Saw It – Babyface and Karyn White
Someone – El DeBarge
Spell – Deon Estus

Original Filipino Music
These are songs by Filipino artists which I resound to. A lot of the themes have to do with nationalism and the social plight in the Philippines.

Liwanag Sa Dilim – Rivermaya
Tatsulok – Bamboo
