Famine In Africa
These are images of starving people in Africa. Although the topic of poverty is almost nearly a cliche, the images of famineĀ still elicit gut-wrenching emotions.
These are images even your grandparents might have seen, so one couldĀ ask, how come over the decades we still haven’t solved this?
The last photo on this page won a Pulitzer Prize.

In case you missed it, this photo is the next scene following photo #2 above.

This last photo is the Pulitzer Prize winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan famine. The picture depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards a United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.
The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked the whole world.
No one knows whatever happened to the child, not even Kevin Carter who took the photograph. He left the place as soon as the photo was taken.
Three months later, Kevin Carter committed suicide in a fit of depression.

oh my God!
Really sad !
I wish everyone could see this photos so that they can understand why it is important to save our environment. This is so sad!
